ChocoStrat
Administrator, retailer and manager. These are the three dimensions of the « new » floorwalker in large-scale retailing.
Through a simple and pragmatic modelization ChocoStrat sheds light over the profitability levels in a retail unit.

Each team takes on the role of “Chocolat” floorwalker in a hypermarket. In charge of marketing and personnel management the team will have to increase quarter after quarter sales and profit margins in a highly competitive environment.

strategy
  Strategy is limited to product positioning over different ranges. Participants define their quantified objectives and analyze the causes of deviations from expected performance.
marketing
  The analysis of the offer of the competition is performed by means of market studies. Teams report customer indicators and anticipate seasonal factors (Easter and Christmas) to be phased with the potential demand.
realization
  Teams have to comply with the fundamentals of discounting (sales price, implantation, promotional operations…). Sales staff have a finite capacity of department supply.
sales - logistics management
  Teams have to comply with the fundamentals of discounting (sales price, implantation, promotional operations…). Sales staff have a finite capacity of department supply.
administrative and financial management
  Profitability and income statements are drafted quarterly according to sector rules, and constantly compared with the defined objectives.
human resources
  In addition to his/her own time management the floorwalker is in charge of recruiting workers and sales staff, and performs collective and individual management tasks (training, on-the-job assistance…).
